When people talk about a “successful year,” they often focus on growth, delivery milestones, or expansion metrics. Looking back on 2025 at Marpoint, what stands out most is something deeper: the people, the purpose, and the discipline behind the progress.
2025 was not a year of noise. It was a year of structure, carefully built foundations that now allow momentum to follow.
From Integrator to Platform Partner
Throughout 2025, Marpoint continued its evolution from a project-driven maritime IT integrator into a platform-driven technology partner, designed to support the operational and regulatory realities of modern shipping.
Our focus was clear and intentional: move beyond bespoke, one-off solutions and establish repeatable, compliant, and resilient architectures that can be deployed and supported consistently across fleets. This shift was not about speed—it was about doing things correctly, so they could scale responsibly.
Platforms Built for Real Operations
This transition became tangible across our core platforms.
EVO3 moved from concept to live operational reality, increasingly serving as a reference framework for compliant onboard IT environments.
UNI became firmly established as a standardized onboard compute layer, delivering enterprise-grade CPU compute capacity and enabling predictable performance and scalable managed services.
Together, these platforms reflect a design philosophy centered on real-world vessel operations—not theoretical architectures.
Recognition That Reflects Real-World Impact
In 2025, our work also received meaningful external recognition. Together with Navarone S.A., Marpoint was honored with the Gold Award at the BITE Awards 2025 in the Network & Communications category.
This was the only maritime project recognized in that category, distinguished not for theory or presentation, but for practical, fleet-wide impact. More than an award, it was validation of what can be achieved through trust, collaboration, and long-term thinking.
Investing in Knowledge, Not Just Technology
Technology scales only when people do.
In 2025, Marpoint operated as a certified MikroTik Training & Certification Center for the maritime industry, delivering all MikroTik certification programs, alongside Proxmox virtualization training, at our headquarters. Beyond training our own engineers, we welcomed maritime IT professionals and partners from across the industry for intensive, hands-on sessions.
The result, 100% exam success with consistently high performance, reinforced a core belief at Marpoint:
Continuous learning is not optional; it is part of our DNA.
Cybersecurity and Compliance by Design
Cybersecurity and regulatory alignment were treated as operational requirements throughout 2025.
Both EVO and UNI achieved Product Design Approval (PDA) by the American Bureau of Shipping, supported by ISO 27001–certified information security processes and alignment with IMO 2021 and IACS UR E26/E27 requirements.
Beyond certification, our teams focused on real-world reliability, participating in cybersecurity exercises and testing systems under operational conditions.
Consulting & Newbuilding Projects
Involved Before Steel Is Cut
A key area of focus in 2025 was our active consulting role in Newbuilding projects, where Marpoint was involved early in the design phase, often long before steel was cut.
With participation in 50+ Newbuilding projects, we supported shipowners and shipyards through the design and implementation of complete ICT and connectivity architectures, including:
Advanced satellite communications systems
LEO technology and 5G integration
Vessel network assessment and implementation using the EVO3 Router
Full compliance with Newbuilding cyber safety regulations through centralized, standardized ICT infrastructures
Provision of 24/7/365 IT Managed Services to support ongoing operations
In these projects, EVO3 and UNI are increasingly used as baseline compliance architectures, enabling shipowners to move beyond equipment delivery toward long-term operational resilience.
A New Home, A New Way of Working
2025 also marked Marpoint’s relocation to new offices, supporting improved logistics capacity and more efficient internal operations.
This transition reshaped how teams collaborate, how knowledge flows, and how daily work is experienced, providing space not only physically, but mentally, for clearer thinking, closer collaboration, and confident growth.
Sharing Knowledge with Purpose
Last year, we also became more intentional about how we communicate with the wider maritime community. Through:
carefully designed technical publications,
short installation videos from the field, and
opinion-driven industry articles on our blog,
We focused on one guiding principle: contributing knowledge, not noise. For Marpoint, visibility only matters when it adds value and helps the industry move forward.
Progress with Responsibility
Growth also brings responsibility.
In 2025, Marpoint proudly supported organizations such as the Theotokos Foundation and Cerebral Palsy Greece – Open Door. Their work serves as a powerful reminder that impact is not measured only in systems deployed or fleets supported, but in human dignity and inclusion.
Looking Ahead
2025 strengthened the foundation.
2026 is about momentum.
We enter the new year more structured, more focused, and better prepared than ever to support the evolving technical and regulatory needs of the maritime industry.
Thank you to our people, our customers, and our partners for the trust you place in us every day.
